Common Questions
What's the difference between gross margin and net profit?
Gross margin is your sale price minus the cost of the item only — a quick view of pricing health. Net profit subtracts every operating cost (customer acquisition, shipping, etc.) so you see actual take-home per order.
What is markup vs margin?
Markup is the percentage added on top of cost to get your sale price. Margin is the profit as a percentage of the sale price. A 100% markup (doubling the price) gives a 50% gross margin.
